How much Elliot’s should I give my dog?
We recommend for average size dogs, approximately 1.2 ounces of Elliot’s Hound Sauce® to be mixed into the food. For smaller dogs add slightly less than that. We found this amount enough to lightly glaze the entire bowl of food.

My dog is a very finicky eater, will Elliot’s Hound Sauce® help?
Boy, will it ever! We can’t tell you how many times people have told us that Elliot’s Hound Sauce® has changed the way their finicky friend eats every day. Just check out our Feedback. If you are like most owners of a hard-to-please pooch, you know how upsetting it is to see them not eating. They are not getting the taste and the nourishment they need. You will feel good about giving your cherished friend Elliot’s Hound Sauce®. They’ll love the taste and you will be giving them the nutrients they need to stay happy and healthy.

Do I have to heat it up?
Elliot’s Hound Sauce® was cooked to perfection in small batches before it was bottled, so there is no need to heat the product before severing it to your friend. However, we have found that some owners like to heat their friend’s food. This will in no way affect the taste or aroma found in Hound Sauce®.

Is too much Elliot’s bad for my dog?
Too much of anything is not good, even for us humans. But we have tested Elliot’s Hound Sauce® with owners who have lovingly given their dogs Elliot’s daily; with no problems.

Should I talk to my vet before giving Elliot’s to my dog?
We have tested our Hound Sauce® with a number of dogs and not one has had any side effects from our product. However, anytime you give your friend something new, it is not a bad idea to contact your vet. We leave that judgment to you, the owner.

Yes. During our testing, a number of puppies were served Hound Sauce® with their food without any problems. However, keep in mind that your puppy’s digestive system is developing and we would suggest that you serve smaller amounts with their daily food.

Can I buy just one flavor or do I have to buy the variety pack?
When you “Go Shopping” you will notice that you can buy just one bottle of Hound Sauce to try it out.

Should I switch flavors on a daily basis?
If you purchase the variety pack, we recommend that you switch flavors as often as you like. We think by doing this your dog is getting a real treat by not having the same taste every day. After all, isn’t variety the spice of life?

What does Glucosamine do for my dog?
Glucosamine aids the body in relieving pain from arthritis. It is difficult to detect the early signs of arthritis and joint damage, so it is important to take measures to help your pet. Glucosamine reduces cartilage damage and is important in building healthy cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

I already give my dog a Glucosamine tablet, can I still use the Hound Sauce®?
Yes. Veterinarians have conferred that by adding Hound Sauce to your dogs food in addition to a Glucosamine tablet you are already providing, is fine. However, it wouldn’t hurt to check with your own vet.

What is Linoleic Acid?
Linoleic Acid is an Omega-6 fatty acid found in Elliot’s Hound Sauce®. Dogs cannot produce linoleic acid on their own and your friend needs it to maintain a healthy, shiny coat. Without enough, dogs may experience a dull, dry coat, hair loss, greasy skin and increased susceptibility to skin inflammation.
